PubSub is an excellent RSS resource, designed to create your own personal feeds on topics of your own choosing.

Want to keep up with what is being said about, oh, lets says, school buses? Create a PubSub feed that looks for the terms “school bus” and “schools buses” and PubSub will look over the blogosphere, newsgroups and the like for articles with those terms.

PubSub considers itself a “Matching Engine” as opposed to a search engine. Think of it like a subscription based search engine where users “subscribe” to particular searches. These searches are based on recent content, so they are updated on a regular basis.

A subscription could be a movie title, a technological advance, a company name, an event, a team, or any topic that is desired to be tracked.

PubSub offers ready made subscriptions in the following areas: earthquakes, airport delays, press releases, SEC filings, Newsgroup posts, weblog entries.

A subscription creates a feed that is just about that certain topic/keyword. This is a great way to find out “what is currently being said about X”.

Note that these feeds are for personal use only. View the feed directly on the PubSub site or within your own RSS Reader. They cannot be redistributed to another website without prior consent. View their terms of service.
