Alternatives to Adsense
This article contains a fairly comprehensive list of alternatives to Google Adsense. It is helpful to know the alternatives. Though there are some problems with Adsense, one must considered the upsides and the downsides. The major upside to Adsense is the number of advertisers. The advertiser universe is quite large with Google. This is a big benefit to Adsense users. It enables more specific content matching. Test out the alternative before making the switch. Things to test for:
1) is the alternative producing quality content matching. Does a a site about fishing display ads for viagra?
2) what is the pay rate per click. On smaller ad networks, this rate is quite small. That benefits the advertiser, but will not benefit the publisher.
It is wise to keep abreast of the alternatives. Competition is a good thing.
