Getting Started With Raven SEO Tools
Raven SEO Tools provides a comprehensive set of SEO tools to help analyze, maintain and build your website’s SEO program.
This is the first post in a long-term series about using the Raven toolset to perform SEO tasks in order to build traffic to your website. Along the way I hope to discuss a wide variety of SEO topics and practices. I am approaching this series differently than most. I will be use RWT as the example. You will see parts of my data, my analysis, my issues and problems and join me on my way to fix those items. I hope the journey will be informative for you!
So to begin…how do you get started with Raven Tools?
After navigating to the Raven website, click the bright green button:
Clicking the Button gets you to the basic signup screen:
Enter your name, email and password. Click the “Create My Account” button. Side note: no credit card is required for signing up!
You will now enter a five step process to setting up the details of your account. It is very simple!
The first step is purely informational. Click the green button that appears in the bottm right corner.
Next, create your profile. Give your profile a name.
Click the green button to proceed.
Add a website to your profile.
Enter it in as www.yourdomain.com. No need to include the http:// prefix.
Click the green button to proceed.
Next step is to begin tracking your website data.
It is helpful to check Auto-Discover. You can go back in and eliminate keywords and links later. Doing Auto-Discover gives you something to play with right from the get go.
Click the green button to proceed.
Raven Tools is now complete!
Now you have a 30 day trial to a powerful set of SEO tools!
At the end of the 30 day trial, your data will be held for an additional 30 days if you do not signup for a plan. The SOLO plan (ideal for SEO beginners) is $20/month.
Remember, to stay tuned. I will walk through the steps of additional setups as well as getting into the meat of the various tools offered.
