How-To-Build-Websites, a part of the family of Killersites websites, is an excellent educational resource for beginners looking to learn web development.

The site offers eight modules that aim to tutor the beginner and enable them to quickly learn how to create their website. The focus of the tutorials is to develop hand-coding skills as opposed to using tools like Frontpage or Dreamweaver. Hand-coding a website is well worth the time and effort. The skills learned will serve a developer for years to come.

The key thing I like about this site is its simplicity. This site is MADE for beginners!

The articles are written to get a person started. They do not represent a complete guide to everything about HTML or web development. The goal of the site is to teach beginners. I believe it accomplishes that task. It provides all the basic information without overwhelming an individual with too many advance or rabbit trail topics.

I will be adding How to Build Websites to my recommended Web Site Design Tutorials page.
