Gadgetopia Blog Review
While the name would suggest that Gadgetopia is simply one of those high end gadgets blogs, it is about more than just gadgets.
Gadgetopia covers a variety of topic about technology including gadgets, software, programming plus other commentary on the affects of technology upon peoples lives.
Three things are appealing about Gadgetopia over other “gadget” blogs.
First, the posting pace is manageable. With an average of 4-5 posts a day, it is a blog that is easily kept up with. Other blogs throw a tremendous amount of content at a user. Those have been deleted from my reader since it is virually impossible to catch up.
Second, it has more of a homegrown/grassroots feel about it then others. There is little pretension or self importance.
Third, it is well written and easy to read.
I was worried at first when Gadgetopia joined one of the blog networks. I had hoped they would not succumb to a corporate mentality and lose the homegrown/in-touch commentary that makes it appealing. To date, that hasn’t happened (crosses fingers).
