Finding the right online payment system

by Paul Flyer

Webmasters considering selling goods and services are faced with a wide array of credit card processsing services.

I just created a merchant account comparison chart.

The findings were interesting. While the two true merchant accounts in the list (Electronic Transfer and Payquake) were not the cheapest, they were competitive. A true merchant account pays for itself when there is a significant amount of volume. Other third party services were way too expensive for my tastes (2checkout and SWREG). The cheapest across the board was Google Checkout.

Read the rest of the article below the chart for more thoughts concerning merchant accounts and online payment systems.

Your results are very interesting, but it’s interesting to see how they stand up next to each other.
