Webmasters considering selling goods and services are faced with a wide array of credit card processsing services.

I just created a merchant account comparison chart.

The findings were interesting. While the two true merchant accounts in the list (Electronic Transfer and Payquake) were not the cheapest, they were competitive. A true merchant account pays for itself when there is a significant amount of volume. Other third party services were way too expensive for my tastes (2checkout and SWREG). The cheapest across the board was Google Checkout.
