The short answer is yes.

However, the latest report from Squidoo itself indicate top lensemasters making about $30-40 a month. Don’t quit your day job.

For me, creating Squidoo lenses is not about making money with Squidoo. Squidoo is:

  • an opportunity to get exposure
  • the chance to make my name known
  • a link back to my websites(s)
  • an opportunity to practice good content development
  • a chance to experiment

These things are more valuable than any monetary gain I hope to get from Squidoo. While Squidoo is a year old, it is still an experiment. I think those critical of Squidoo have not focused enough on the non-monetary benefits that Squidoo can offer. I can’t emphasize enough how Squidoo offers the opportunity for beginners to get a start in content development. Its a great place to learn.
