WordPress 2.1 is in beta
WordPress just released version 2.0.6. In the blog post announcing the release, there is a tidbit about WordPress 2.1:

As a reminder, if you’re a plugin or theme author you should check your code to make sure it’s compatible with 2.1 before the release.
